Méo-Camuzet is one of the top names not only of Vosne Romanée, where they're based, but in all Burgundy. That wasn't always the case. Incredibly, until 1988 most of the domaine’s holdings were leased out to other vignerons. Today all that has changed and Méo-Camuzet has many enviable Grand and Premier Cru vineyards and small parcels throughout Burgundy, which they use to make enviably good wines. At 400m altitude, Clos St Philibert lies within the great Flagey Echézeaux, 120m above Vosne. This is the family's only white wine, the vineyards planted in 1990 and 1992 with a variety of Chardonnay clones and 10% Pinot Blanc. Wild yeast fermentation in part new oak, this is a lavish and luxurious Burgundy. A fine match with sauced white meats.
