Robert Parker sums it up: “Courbis is a name to watch in the Northern Rhone". The Courbis brothers, Dominique and Laurent, have combined a long family tradition of winemaking (the estate dates back to the 16th century) with a youthful energy, modern style, and hard work. The result has been international recognition – and some truly outstanding wines! Indeed, the wines of the Courbis estate are considered some of the most compelling examples of Saint Joseph and Cornas being made today. And this 2017 Cornas Champelrose is no exception. From the excellent 2017 vintage, it offers intense, rich and spicy raspberry fruit combined with a super silky texture and firm tannins. Best decanted and enjoyed with a rich lamb dish or cassoulet. Or cellar.
