Albert Bichot is a renowned family négociant dating from 1831. With 105 hectares of vines, over six domaines, they are one of the bigger players in Burgundy, but with an excellent reputation. As Neal Martin of Wine Advocate wrote, “Albert Bichot is one of those Beaune based producers that can really surprise. You are served a bottle of Bichot blind and marvel at how well it shows." They are, above all, about finesse and nuance thanks to Albéric Bichot, 2017's IWC ‘Winemaker of the Year’. Grapes for this fine Nuits are all handpicked, from well placed, limestone soil vineyards. After 16 months ageing in barrel, 20% new, the wine's fruit is now beautifully integrated with the oak. A fine red for game, coq au vin or wild mushrooms.
