The wines of Albert Bichot are characterised by their elegance, their delicate nuance – think prima ballerina grace and precision footwork. In 2017, quality was outstanding – “The 2017 reds are very good, often excellent, and from time to time, bloody awesome” (Neal Martin, Wine Advocate), “so delicious and refreshing that I predict you will be seduced.” Les Chabiots lies in the south of Chambolle Premier Cru, next to Les Amoureuses. Its shallow soil and limestone bedrock result in the wonderful elegance, expressive fruit and silkiness of this wine. All of it is matured in oak barrels (40% new) for 14 to 16 months, to retain a fine balance of fruit and oak. Such a beautiful, charming and seductive wine. Try to tuck away for a few years yet.
