A superb vintage, a family estate and two innovative, young winemakers – these are just some of the credentials for this delightful, bright fruit Rioja. It’s best enjoyed in its youth, while the fruit flavours are at their bright, juicy best.
The Manzanos family have 125 years of wine history to draw upon as grape growers. Yet they aren’t hidebound by tradition, but are among the region’s most innovative and exciting producers. Since 2010, the fifth generation, brothers David and Victor, have been at the helm, thrust into the limelight at a young age and rising to the challenge. Their modern winery is in the heart of the Rioja region, where the rivers Ebro and Ega come together. Here they enjoy superb terroir for growing grapes. The 2020 vintage provided a generous harvest and has made elegantly fruity reds, with heaps of fresh, lively character. Expect deep ripe berry notes, supple spice and juicy length in this delicious Tempranillo, in its handy quarter size bottle.
"Full of flavour as well as being really smooth, excellent overall wine, will buy this again!"
