Lying at the northeastern corner of South Island, Marlborough is one of New Zealand’s most prestigious wine regions – famous for grassy, herbaceous Sauvignon Blancs of arresting quality, and increasingly for a few more varieties besides. Company Bay is from a top cellar there, which had a little surplus fruit in 2016, rare to be sure, and were happy to make us this special tropical and gooseberry crisp cuvée, with the proviso that we don’t blow the whistle on them and upset their usual customers. Picking in cool night temperatures and fermenting at a low temperature have ensured maximum fruit and freshness captured in the bottle. A vibrant, crisp, ripe-fruit white, super as a glass on its own, or with seafood, spicy Asian cuisine or salads.

"A favourite Sauvignon, fresh and crisp. Great as a drink alone. 5 Stars" Online Review
