Francs Côtes de Bordeaux is the smallest of the Cotes de Bordeaux regions, with only 500 ha of vines. Château De Francs is a marvel from the middle ages, surrounded its now totally restored vineyards."Transparent crimson. Gamey nose with some real interest. Sweet start. Light and fresh. Dances. This vintage is a blend of Merlot (80%), Cabernet Franc (10% ) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and was awarded a Silver Medal from the Concours de Bordeaux 2016The property is owned by Hubert de Bouard (owner of Château Angelus) and Dominique Hebrard (former co-owner of Cheval Blanc). Beautiful deep and bright in colour the bouquet is intensely fruity, underpinned by delicately woody notes. On the palate, the wine is rich and harmonious with ripe, oaky tannins.
