Château Canet is the epitome of a charming southern French wine estate and one of the Minervois’ leading domaines. Owned today by Dutch born Floris Lemstra, his 45 hectares of vines are complemented by 3 hectares of olive groves, plus farmland and forests. The setting is enchanting with uninterrupted views of the distant Alaric mountains. He is passsionate about nature and giving back what he takes in a wine. His property lies in the heart of the ‘Pays Cathare’, with its rich medieval history. It lies just a short drive from the beautiful medieval city of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi. Made from old vine Syrah, Carignan and Grenache, his oak aged Minervois has deep velvety, well spiced fruit. Perfect with casseroles and grilled meats.
