More information
Lanson is one of the oldest Grande Marque Champagnes to hold the Royal Warrant. In 2011 this great Champagne house acquired an organic vineyard near the village of Verneuil in the Marne Valley, and so impressed with its quality were they that they have released the wine under their own exclusive ‘Green Label’. This wine has spent a lengthy three years on its lees (18 months is the average), which adds wonderful yeasty complexity, and softens the natural acidity too. Crafted from a classic blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, the wine has floral and citrusy notes, summer fruits, brioche and light honey complexity. Serve chilled in tall flutes on its own or with fine canapés such as seafood vol au vents or smoked salmon blinis.
