More information
Champagne from small family estates provide superb quality and excellent value. We're delighted to champion the great classic sparklers of Cyril and Frédéric Gyéjacquot. Their father, Michel, founded the estate with his brother, Daniel, in 1970, and started to buy up vineyards. They now span seven villages and nurture the three main varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – also with, unusually, a little Pinot Blanc. The Collection Rosé is a luxurious blend of half Pinot Noir lending a rich, savoury berry character and its pretty pink hue, with Chardonnay for minerality and Pinot Blanc for apple fruit. Lees aged for nearly two years and enriched with reserve wine, this is a long, complex fizz. Chill down and find a good excuse!
