Beyond the Label
Cherries, pink grapefruit, wild strawberries and cream, shortbread
Champagne Deutz was founded by two Germans – William Deutz and Pierre Glederman – in 1838. Today it now falls under the stewardship of the Rouzauds (one of the wine world’s most powerful families). This is their new Sakuru Edition. Crafted from 80% Grand or Premier Cru fruit, predominantly Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, with 10% Côte des Blancs Chardonnay and red wine made from Pinot Noir grown in Äy, it uses up to 40% Reserve wine. Beautifully evoking the gentle breezes among the cherry blossom, this pink bursts with cherry sorbet, blossom, wild strawberry and pink grapefruit notes. Mellowed by three years ageing on lees, it also has hints of whipped cream and shortbread. Here presented in a stunning gift box and bottle.
"I can't think of a more beautiful way to mark the spring blossom season. Truly gorgeous"
