Chat with Vinny
From a year Jancis Robinson MW described as "the best vintage I will probably ever taste", this is a very fine Médoc indeed. And being a Cru Bourgeois means it's another step up in quality too. Dark cassis, ripe plum with savoury oak and freshness.

Château Tour Castillon became famous in 2018 when the owners, the Peyruse family, announced they would be ageing a batch of their 2015 wine under the English Channel! All sealed of course, but apparently the conditions – the pressure and temperature – can be beneficial to the wine. Quirks aside, this is a beautiful and (usually) traditional estate in St Christoly, owned by the Peyruse family since 1914. Today the fourth generation, Sébastian and his sister Laure, run the property with their parents. They have over 40 hectares of vines growing both Cabernets, Merlot, Carmenère and Petit Verdot. A traditional fermentation with up to 16 months' ageing en barriques has produced this fine, balanced claret. For best results open early and decant.
