Château Belle Coline is Christopher Reboul Salze's third estate in Bordeaux's up-and-coming Côtes de Blaye. A big name in Bordeaux, Christophe was born in central France, but fell in love with the region's wines in his youth. So, he decided to make his passion a career. He gained a decade's experience trading in Grand Cru Classé wines and became director at one of the leading houses. Then started his own négociant business, which remains today a leader in the field. He wanted to make wine too, so he purchased three estates in the Premières Côtes de Blaye and employed Stéphane Derenoncourt as consultant. The results are exceptional. From old vines, whole-berry fermented and aged a year in 33% new oak, this is a fine, ageworthy claret.
