Bellarine Bay Pinot Grigio 2018

South Eastern Australia

Aussie Pinot Grigio with Italian flair, courtesy of the Littore winery, whose founders were Sicilian. It’s still a minority grape Down Under, but the estate has been growing it for years, crafting this deliciously refreshing, citrus pear fruit white.

If you think you know Pinot Grigio, think again. You’ll be astonished by the citrus charged intensity of this delightful drop from Andrew Byers. Andrew is a well travelled winemaker, whose first intention had been to train as a vet! However, he fell in love with winemaking during a stint of work experience at the Villa Maria winery. That was lucky for us then – he’s very gifted and it shows in the mouthfilling, juicy fruit balance of Bellarine Bay. Made using premium grapes from Moorabool Valley and Geelong, it is ripe, fruity and extremely satisfying. Richer than your average Pinot Grigio, its refreshing pear and citrus flavours have the faintest tickle of spice, making it a great apéritif or match for seafood, chicken and salads.

"Bright ripe fruit with an uncharacteristic, for Oz, light touch. Very refreshing" Dan Parrott
