Pauillac produces some of the most majestic and long lived wines of Bordeaux’s Haut Médoc. Foremost among them is Château Lafite Rothschild, “the First Growth of First Growths” according to Clive Coates MW. Tony Laithwaite was friends with winemaker Charles Chevallier long before he took charge of the cellar at Lafite in 1999, and that’s how this exclusive cuvée came about. Made with grapes from selected vineyards across Pauillac, it bears the Rothschilds’ uncompromising stamp of quality – finest quality fruit, fastidious, world class winemaking and patient barrel ageing. Though delicious now the wine will repay cellaring for a few years to come, and should be enjoyed with roast red meats, tomato based vegetarian meals and hard cheeses.

"2015 is indeed a fantastic year, producing rich and opulent reds with ripe and velvety tannins" James Suckling
