Verdejo is Rueda’s answer to Sauvignon Blanc. With this special cuvée, Verdejo shines just that bit brighter, exhibiting its terrific ability to age. Crafted by the Sanz family, respected winemaking pioneers in Rueda, NW Spain, this mature, aromatic white was a forgotten vat of wine in the Sanz cellar. Ricardo, Antonio’s son, discovered it, tucked away, and alerted our buyer. Jean-Marc was really impressed with how deliciously the wine had aged. Singing true to the family’s philosophy, this cuvée is a "free expression of Verdejo with the least possible intervention" (Ricardo). With age, this luscious, mature, complex white has developed notes of marmalade, waxy lemon, delicate nuttiness and exotic spice. Ideal with garlic roasted chicken.

"The Sanz family make outstanding whites. This Verdejo has matured into gorgeous nutty complexity" Jean-Marc Sauboua
