Home to legendary Grands Crus Corton and Corton Charlemagne, Aloxe-Corton lies in the north of the Côte de Beaune. Its wines are revered around the world. The Ravaut family have been tending vines at their domaine, based around the hill of Corton, for six generations. It was Vincent and Pierre’s grandfather (known as ‘the Uncle’) who, in the 1920s, took the radical step of changing from bulk to bottling and selling wines himself. He started by supplying family and local friends, but by 1936 had won a Gold at Paris. Today the brothers continue the work of their grandfather and are gaining a great reputation. From Premier Cru vineyards, all the grapes were hand picked, and the wine aged in fine oak barriques. Decant early or cellar.

"Such appealing nuanced red fruits, layers of leafy undergrowth, oak hints. Huge potential" Jehan Sacaze
