Nelson lies on the very northern tip of the South Island, just around the coast from the more famous Marlborough region. Think fruity more than grassy. 2.4K is from Waimea Estates, founded in 1993 by two generations of the Bolitho family. They planted extensive vineyards and worked hard to produce wines – Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris – that have, over the last 25 years, charmed the world.
