Lying along the coast from Adelaide, Padthaway is one of South Australia’s top performing wine appellations and this bright, ripely fruity white is ample proof. This long thin region (62 km long and 8 km wide) boasts well drained limestone soils, plus a natural source of underground water, a fact that was recognised by the Aborigines, who named it ‘Potawurutj’ or ‘good water’. In addition the area enjoys a temperate climate, cooled by coastal breezes. All this adds up to ideal conditions for producing high quality grapes and superb, well balanced wines that deliver fruit with finesse. 200 Miles Chardonnay shows intense varietal notes of bright peach, buttery roundness and lovely citrus bite. Enjoy with creamy chicken pie or seafood risotto.
