Bellarine Bay Pinot Grigio 2016

South Eastern Australia

Australian Pinot Grigio with Italian flair, courtesy of the Littore family from Sicily. It’s still a relatively rare grape Down Under, but the family have been growing it for years, crafting this mouthwatering crisp white with pear and citrus fruit.

If you think you know Pinot Grigio, think again. You’ll be astonished by the citrus charged intensity of this delightful drop from Vince and David Littore, sons of company founders Mario and Aurora. The family, like many Italians, first grew vines in Mildura in northwest Victoria but when an estate came up for sale in the cooler climate of southern Victoria, the brothers established a new branch of the business there. Made using premium fruit from prime vineyard sites in the Moorabool Valley and Geelong, Bellarine Bay is ripe, fruity and extremely satisfying. Richer than your average Pinot Grigio, its refreshing pear and citrus flavours have the faintest tickle of spice, making it a great apéritif or match for seafood, chicken and salads.
