The normal bottle price is £38 but Vineyard Partners pay just £28 saving £10 a bottle. You will get this lovely ‘thank you’ saving every year for as long as you remain a partner.
Barbara Laithwaite CBE began to plant her small 2-hectare vineyard in 2003. Ten years later, with her first release, the 2009, she won a Trophy and so an idea that was intended as a hobby, became a full-time passion and took over Barbara’s life. Since then, she’s won two more Trophies, for her rosé fizz and many other awards besides. “I am” Barbara insists, “the grape grower” … the winemaking she leaves to her son, Henry, at his award-winning sparkling wine estate in Marlow. Both taught by some of the finest in the business – Tony Jordan of Domaine Chandon and Mike Roberts of Ridgeview Estate – they produce the exceptional Wyfold fizz.
Barbara’s vineyard lies close to Henley-on-Thames, in the Chilterns, on a high, south-facing slope of flinty gravel mixed with the same prized chalk you find in Champagne … characteristics that are key to the intense minerality of the Wyfold sparkling wines. In addition, the climate here is very similar to Champagne 20-30 years back, before we started globally warming. Just warm enough to ripen the grapes, but cool enough to retain maximum freshness and bright aromas. Ideal, in fact … bar the occasional spring frost.
At Wyfold, Barbara grows Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – exactly the varieties you’ll find in Champagne, and the ones which make up, in varying quantities, both the Brut and the Rosé. The wines are made using the same classic methods too – with the labour-intensive, secondary fermentation taking place in bottle. Three years’ ageing on lees, with another six months-plus maturation in bottle after dosage, ensures the start of Wyfold’s lovely complexity, which only increases as it ages.
Wyfold has now won three Trophies including Best English Sparkling Rosé last year. Production is very small and we hope Vineyard Partners will very much enjoy having privileged access to these bottles.
You will have a six-bottle case of the new vintage releases of Wyfold Brut and Wyfold Rosé reserved for you every year, with delivery in December.
In July 2025, you will be offered an extra six-bottle case of the Wyfold Rosé and Brut, otherwise delivery will always be in December.
You will receive the same big saving – £60 discount on the six-bottle case – every year you choose to take the case.
There’s no obligation – we write to you in advance with details of the case and you decide each year if you wish to take the wine; you can cancel at any time.
During the year we will send you updates from Barbara on progress in the vineyard.
Let us know if you’d like to hear about Barbara’s work-party days when you can help out in the vineyard.
As with all wines, you have our 100% guarantee, love the wine or your money back ... with this special Vineyard Partner, we're certain you'll be delighted.
Please note: By taking up this offer, you authorise us to deduct the price of your future Vineyard Partner orders from the credit/debit card you used to pay for your first case. Each year you will receive a notification when your latest release is ready to ship as well as confirmation of the price.
