Journey through the history of wine with The Sunday Times wine columnist and vice-president of The Sunday Times Wine Club, Will Lyons. Rothschild wine specialist Peter Tompkins joins Will to examine one of wine’s most influential dynasties.

Experience a twilight walk around Waddesdon’s gardens and an exclusive opportunity to see Brought to Life: Eliot Hodgkin Rediscovered exhibition before an introduction to eight Rothschild wines in the magnificent cellars with a backdrop of no fewer than 13,000 bottles of Ch. Lafite dating from 1870. Then enjoy a three-course dinner in the Manor Restaurant with the option of upgrading your package to stay at the Five Arrows hotel on the Waddesdon Estate.

Evening: An introduction to Rothschild Wines in the Cellars at Waddesdon with STWC

The evening includes:

• From 6pm guests may arrive to enjoy the gardens, the Eliot Hodgkin exhibition and visit the aviary

• At 7pm enjoy a tasting in the Wine Cellars where Peter Tompkins (Rothschild Wine Specialist) and Will Lyons will introduce a selection of eight Rothschild wines. Followed by a three course dinner served in the Manor Restaurant which will be inspired by autumn produce from Waddesdon Estate and Eythrope Garden. Rothschild Wines will be specially selected to suit each course during dinner.

For an additional fee hotel accommodation is available at Five Arrows Hotel, on Waddesdon Estate (depending on room availability).
