Founded in 1883, Trapiche is one of Argentina’s leading wineries. Its many accolades include twice winning ‘Argentine Wine Producer of the Year’ at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. Every year, Daniel Pi, one of the most capable and knowledgeable winemakers in Argentina, chooses the three best Malbecs from a collection of 90 separate vineyards for Trapiche’s premium Single Vineyard range. The grapes for this fine red were hand harvested from Cristina and Bibiana Coletto’s 60-year-old ungrafted vines, planted at 1,127 metres in Tupungato. It's vinified in small, open fermenters and matured for 18 months in new French oak. Rich and full-bodied with dense black fruit and complex, integrated oak, it’s ideal with roast red meats.

"Berry, bark and citrus. It’s full and flavorful, but really subtle and fresh. Savory. Delicious" James Suckling
Critic, on 2018 vintage
