We've been buying from the northern Rhône's renowned Cave de Tain for 50 years now, a cellar described by critic, Jeb Dunnuck, as "one of the finest co-ops in the world." Most of their wines are from the top appellations Hermitage, Crozes, Cornas and the like, with £60 per bottle price tags to go with it. The secret white grape behind all those famous name villages is the surprisingly little-known Marsanne that can produce wines with sublime tropical fruit, lemon and blossom notes with a mineral edge. You'll find all that and more in the luscious, mouthfilling Chemin du Belvédère. The grapes were taken from parcels in the area around Hermitage, to give you a real taste of the Grand Vin. Chill gently – it's a star with roast chicken.

"Love it. Totally delectable, moreish and slips down so easily. If you like Viognier you'll love this" 5-Star Online Review
