Owned by the Bicenvet family for three generations, Château St Croix des Egrons is a true family estate with every member involved. Located near the medieval town of Saint-Foy-la-Grande, this was one of the earliest vineyards areas in Bordeaux to be planted with vines - long before the Medoc.

The vineyards lie on a chalk ridge which runs down from St Emilion. Here Merlot predominates but a high proportion of Cabernet Franc, reminiscent of the famous Cheval Blanc wines, gives the wine extra colour and complexity.

Ruby red with fresh cherry and blackcurrant aromas. Round and generous with a rich finish, Ideal with game, roasted beef and cheeses.
