This has to be one of my favourites. It will accompany virtually anything. It's a great starter wine, it's really refreshing seeing peoples faces when they first taste this one. Multi medal-winning, reserva style wine from the most awarded bodega in the world - this is rare, mature quality indeed ... and it's drinking perfectly right now.

Using the great grapes of Rioja - Tempranillo and Garnacha - grown on old vines in the dry and arid landscape of Extremadura near Spain's border with Portugal, the wine spent 12 months in American oak before bottle ageing.

Elegant, ruby red in the glass with a rich, aromatic nose, it is well structured with balanced fruit and oak character ... and you enjoy a lovely, long lingering finish well after the wine has been swallowed. You will want more. Decant before serving for the best results.
