Made from small parcels of southern Italy's star grape, Primitivo (Californian Zinfandel by another name)by star winemaker Angelo Maci, this has been crafted with the standards you would expect from Tuscany's finest - and patiently aged in new oak barrels for added richness.

Rich purple colour with aromas of chocolaty plums and spicy raisins. A thoroughly satisfying juicy mouthful that ripples with deep black fruit, balanced by warm oak. "Lush and lovely" (Malcolm Gluck).

With 24 accolades in just four vintages and counting ... no wonder Parker rates this top estate (twice voted the top cellar in Puglia)! The US critic awarded the 2002 vintage a staggering 88 points - an amazing achievement for a wine at this price.
