Millennium clarets of this pedigree are nearly impossible to find so it's first 5 orders only on this gem!

Until recently, Château Monbousquet was associated with fairly commercial, uninspiring wines for early drinking. In the early nineties, however, the property was sold to Ge?rard Perse who had made a fortune in the supermarket business. Mass investment into the château combined with the introduction of Michel Rolland as consultant winemaker, has seen the quality of the wines soar. Robert Parker the influential American wine critic, writes "What can one say about the wines Gérard Perse has produced at his home property Monbousquet . . . he has provoked anger, jealousy, and envy among the Bordeaux cognoscenti, but the bottom line is his wines are brilliant".

"Saturated black with extraordinary aromatics of sweet blackberries, chocolate, coffee, incense and vanilla. This is the most intense, biggest Monbousquet made to date - it is a remarkable wine! 96 points" (Parker).
